Construction of the new Gurkha Cigar Lounge at the Ameristar Casino included transforming approximately 3,500 SF of unused office space into a new cigar bar immediately adjacent to the sportsbook on the casino floor. The scope of work for this 2025 AGC Build Mississippi award wining project included upgrades to the electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems with a full smoke ventilation system, linear wood panel ceilings, LVT and tile flooring, custom walnut paneling and bar, a cedar humidor, and programmable LED lighting throughout. The cigar bar includes a bar area with open seating, a VIP lounge, gaming space for future casino games, private alcove seating, the humidor room, manager’s office, and back bar areas. Construction began in July of 2024, and lasted 6 months.
